BREAKING NEWS! InStudio is coming!

Posted on Friday, May 23, 2008 at 06:33PM by Registered Commenterkennethlinge | Comments2 Comments

Dear Friends, Here is the big secret we have worked on for weeks! Yes, we are opening a new HUGE HIP studio here in Happy Valley. We are renting 8800 Sq ft on Center Street in Orem. The camera room will be the dream of my life 90×35 feet with nice wood floor (a NBA court is 94 feet :-)) so imagine. It also has a nice high ceiling! It will be really hi tech and much more than just a shoot. The whole place will be a happening. I will have a big party for all Photograher's later on so please e-mail me if you are not on my normal mailing list. It will also have a 1200 Sq Ft classroom +++, so I will do lots of my seminars there. Well, I will tell you more later. IT WILL ROCK! Here is a rough draft of the logo.InStudioBlog.jpg

Photographing People Part 3 went great!

Posted on Monday, May 5, 2008 at 02:27PM by Registered Commenterkennethlinge in , , | Comments2 Comments

This last Saturday we did our first Photographing People Part 3 and it was sooo nice to see the photographers put to use what they learned in Part 1 & 2. It was impressive to see their understanding of light! We first shot downtown SLC, then went out to the Great Salt Lake with Mr.GSL himself (Charles Uibel www.greatsaltlakephotos.com) as our guide. In this image you see a portable tungsten spot lighting up the brides face. I have used portable battery powered tungsten spots since 1981!!!!! PP3%20May0824%20blog3.jpg( Yes I know a lot of young speakers think they invented that.) It has been used in film forever and it was while working as the still photographer on a movie in Paris, France summer 1981 I discovered it and it sure changed my thinking.
