25 Years ago I took this picture.......

Yes it's been 25 years since I took this picture, but I think there is a lot to learn from it, and I think it holds up pretty well for it's age. I love using assistants and find it pretty much a must almost all the time. This picture is an example of solving a situation without one. The picture is taken right by a main road on a neutral color slide film, exposure about 1 min.!!! The green comes from the florescent street lights right outside the image. The girl is standing in almost total darkness, I have the camera on a tripod, I walk over to the side of her and manually send of my flash at her, then walk back and close the shutter on my camera. Cool effect, color temperature is interesting, she is nice and clean in color from the flash which gives more exposure than the street lights did on her. Camera? one of my all time favorites, Nikon F3 Black Titanium.

This is too cool for words. You could have shot this one yesterday and I would still be thrilled with it. The impact of her black attire against the muted, wash of green sky and ground is surreal.

This is a beautiful shot! It really is amazing how some images are not defined by style, and time. It really does look like you could have shot it yesterday.
